Description
There is empty land here, a protected wetland possibly I believe it’s owned by King County. There is currently a old road or trail running across the property. Since there is no safe sidewalks along Issaquah Pine Lake
road here could this trail be revived so it can be used by the public safely both for recreation and as an alternative to walking on a dangerous road with no sidewalks.

Property is KC owned. The City does not have any jurisdiction on this parcel. For historical reference Email exchange below:
Hi April
I do not know who a good contact for KC would be. Perhaps start in the Parks department in KC and they can better direct you. As far as obtaining property that is far above and beyond any conversations I would be involved in. Anjali Meyer amyer@sammamish.us is the Parks Director and she can likely direct you to appropriate staff and their process on property assessment for public use.
Sorry I am not much help, but hopefully getting you to the right people.

So who should I contact? Could the city be interested in attaining this property if that is an option? There are no city of Sammamish parks in this area, not suggesting a park here but merely a trail for people to use for safety and also enjoy the nature.

Hi April,
Thank you for the clarification. It would make sense that you saw KC vehicle there as this is a KC owned parcel. The City could not authorize re establishment or any use of this parcel. If I am incorrect on location or have any of the request wrong please let me know.

Hi Lisa,
Yes, I have attached a photo here. I have walked this property many times and have seen King County maintenance crews there (as opposed to City of Sammamish). I have drawn a red mark where the trail/old road is.
