Description
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE! Change the First lane (on Foothill Parkway) back how it used to be! Traveling Eastbound on Foothill Parkway at Bedford Canyon approaching the I-15: The first lane used to be RIGHT TURN ONLY onto Bedford. Now, that lane backs up sooooo far, because the traffic wants to get onto the I-15 South. Us locals that simply want to get home (that live on Georgetown Dr/Eagle Glen area) have to suffer and wait 3+ traffic lights to turn right onto Bedford. NOT to mention, the "cheaters" that cut in the last minute. :-(

Hello,
Thank you for reaching out to Corona Traffic Engineering. Unfortunately the geometry of Foothill at Bedford cannot be returned to it’s prior configuration for a few reasons. The traffic study that was completed shows this alignment and lane configuration as the most efficient. Secondly, if the #3 lane became a Right Turn only lane, this would cause the large queue of cars to be in the middle lane, and not the curb lane which can cause safety issues. Furthermore, if this were to take place, cars in the middle lane would need to merge from the middle lane to the right lane in the middle of the intersection which is unsafe and illegal. The 15-South is currently undergoing a widening project that should hopefully reduce this queue and delay for the Right turn movement onto Bedford Canyon in the future.
Please feel free to reach out to discuss further at (951) 736-2266. Thank you.
