Thursday morning I noticed this also, but though perhaps something had happened. Took over ten minutes to go from Centennial elementary to the light on Pecos rd.

You are correct there was a recent change made here. I will discuss it with the individual who suggested the change. It was mad to try and improve coordination on Pecos but it sounds like we may need to try and make another adjustment. I appreciate you reaching out and letting us know how the change has affected traffic on Ranch House...Mike

Has this been looked at? The traffic goes all the way back to fencline or near it, and if your past Capps you will have to wait for another light cycle. Then add in the traffic back up if the crossing guard has longer waits.

I did watch it myself and did not see a backup at the signal itself it cleared each time on the day I watched it, in speaking with someone else who had the same concern they felt traffic was being stopped further back in the neighborhood near the school and that the schools start/release times may be having a negative impact away from the signal? I did talk with our studies group about this, they were looking at it as well. I believe they went out on site to observe the situation further. I am not sure on what they found. I believe one of them also lives in Powser Ranch and takes their kids to Higley high school in the morning, so they were familiar with the location. I will reassign this to our studies group to see if they have additional information to provide. Sorry for the delay... Mike

Thanks for the picture also I did see it back up like that a few times, but it did clear each cycle unless people were not paying attention. Vehicles need to continually move though the detection area in a timely manner to add extension time to the movement if they are stopped (on their phone maybe etc.) the movement will gap out thinking none is there. It only happened twice the day I watched... Mike

I am going to reassign this to our studies group to make sure it stays on the radar for them also I haven't seen an issue at the signal in the neighborhood by the school is very congested it seemed?..Mike
