I would like to ask for the community and/or organization that would like to help with this issue. I live on Midage Lane between Carlstone Dr. and Hanover Rd. It is very dark on this street. Examples of how dark and dangerous this is, the moon is the only thing that sometimes lights up the streets and the neighborhoods yards brighter than most community's front porch lights, also most people driving down the street have to turn on their high beams just so they can see where they are going. A neighbor that drives a truck for a living is very concerned about walking to his trucking he has to leave in the early morning hours before sunrise. Another neighbor was very co concerned when he walked to his car at night parked in his driveway, another neighbor was walking her dog and was unable to see that neighbor until her and her dog where literally right there within feet due to the fact it was so dark. This startled both neighbors, but luckily everyone was ok. You are unable to see anyone walking down the street much less in your yard regardless of how many front/back, driveway lights are on. As well as vehicles that may suspiciously stop on the street and you may not know what they are doing, because there isn't enough light to see the car, the people or anything associated with their purpose/intentions. There are a lot of older/senior citizens that live on the street, that are very concerned and would like to see a new street light installed, not only for the neighborhood/community but as well as for anyone that may be passing through as well as the Fire/ EMS department a few blocks over, that use Midage Lane as a direct route when they have an emergency call. Everyone would appreciate any and all support we may receive to make our street/neighborhood feel more safe for everyone. Thank you.
