Please note this item HAS NOT been completed. The property floods in the same was as above every heavy rain. The small ditch that was dug around the cottonwood roots does increase water movement but does not keep flooding off our property.
Additionally the hay bales that public works added to the end of the cul de sac in the early 2000s built up dirt all around the effluent area, raised grade and allowed the cottonwood roots to elevate and create more of a dam. The trees should be removed to allow the water to drain as designed into the channels on both sides of the cul de sac.
