Description
The traffic light at Longmire and Deacon Dr. does not give a green light to the side coming down Deacon and going straight to Texas Ave. if there is only one vehicle waiting. It sees turn vehicles on that side but not one vehicle going straight ahead to Texas Ave. I have had to sit through several light changes until someone gets in line behind me before the light will change.

Good Afternoon,
Here is a response from our Traffic Systems Supervisor after sending out a member of his staff to check on this issue:
This location is using video cameras to detect vehicles and the detection zones may move slightly. The guys noticed the camera detecting the vehicle but was dropping the call which explains why it would work once another vehicle pulled up behind the first one. The detection zones were modified both vertically and horizontally to cover the eastbound straight-through movement of traffic. The problem of skipping a single vehicle was detected and corrected. The signal was operating normal upon their departure.
If you have any other questions, please post them here.
Thanks,
Barbara Moore
