说明

I understand that I choose to live in a state that taxes personal property. I have an issue of paying $33 to pay for a decal to display in my car window. It supposedly is to represent that I paid my taxes and therefore don't ticket me. That is what it used to mean and I wasn't charged for the decal. Now it is issued with the bill so it is meaningless. I can put it on my window but not pay my bill. But now I have to pay for the decal that means nothing - it does not mean I paid. To his credit, when I asked this question of the Treasurer, he responded by phone but did not have an answer of why we are doing this and paying for it. How do get rid of this unnecessary fee (both on the consumer and the cost to produce)?
