I also have bad tasting and smelling water on Old Colony rd.
On the local cable access channel the city has put up a reminder that they are flushing hydrants and that will change the water taste and smell...though not unhealthy it is definitely not pleasurable to drink.
I also read recently that the city is in negotiations to upgrade our Water Purification methods though it is going to cost us beaucoup bucks it is money well spent.

I've known about that upgrade for quite a while: there is something seriously wrong with the town's water system, and it's been subjected to ongoing monitoring for several years. It was only a matter of time until the city would be mandated to change the system. That is why I have been so concerned about the taste and color in the past. It's a shame that, for the extremely high rates we pay compared to other towns, our water has to have such problems. Think about that issue during elections next month....

Sorry to take so long responding, I had PC issues. The problem has been fixed for some time now.
