Description
Can we all just stop reporting petty things that you aren't happy with? This neighborhood doesn't have an HOA, does not have a neighborhood watch, and frankly, doesn't need one. I'm subscribed to the area just to see if I get reported for something and I get several emails a week from people targetting the same houses, over and over.
They can have work vehicles. A car leaking oil on their driveway isn't an EPA environmental disaster. People are just living their lives. Someone reported a house for a new roof and the city actually cited them and gave a week to GET A NEW ROOF. You ever try to get a contractor to do some work? Think it'll get done in a week? Think again. Not to mention the thousands of dollars a new roof costs. Here's a novel idea: if it's not your property, just ignore it.
If you're so particular about your neighbors yards and houses, move to a million dollar subdivision. Or better yet, don't like that people leave bushes and trees to grow naturally? Go get your tools and take care of it yourself. No one is stopping you.

The City of Sterling Heights monitors this forum so residents can report issues, which include ordinance violations on residential and commercial properties, so they can be properly addressed according to the publicly accessible ordinances. If the app did not exist you would not be aware of any of these issues, but many would still be reported by phone or mail. So maybe you would feel better if you just stopped looking at all the concerns posted on the app.
As a Sterling Heights tax payer, I am grateful that the city takes the appropriate actions to keep our city a safe and wonder place to live.

If you subscribe to the forum just to see if you get reported, and you are not getting reported then let it go.
It is ironic that you are complaining about people complaining.

We can agree on that!
I was reported years ago for grass, haven't been since. I've had more emails this year than the last 5 combined. Specifically, it seems like one or a few over zealous individuals have developed vendettas against certain homes.
