The then one stop sign shoud be moved to the other corner @ Windiate coming onto Saline. The stop on Saline is useless, because all trafffic can be seen from there.

That was our thought;that the stop sign should be at Windiate before the tracks.The problem is convincing the County.

I agree. I live in that intersection and it is very hazardous. I have almost been hit many times by people who think they have the right away to Saline or just run the stop sign. I have even called to Waterford school district from a bust who ran the stop sign.

I live in this neighborhood and i totally agree , something needs to be done .Its as simple as putting another stop sign , NOT a yeild sign ! its bad enough that people already dont stop ! Also my husband was in a accident coming around saline towards the railroad tracks , another driver was coming from the other direction over the track and ran right down the side of his truck because not only do people not stop there it is also narrow and people just dont pay attention ! Also shame on the county for thinking this is not a problem . in the summer the weeds grow at the corner and you cant even see the cars coming from Windiate ! Im have tempted to make a stop sign and place it on windiate myself !!!!!

I have personally called and sent emails on this problem to the Oakland co DPW.They in turn had someone check this area and report to me that this is not a problem that calls for any additional sign at that location.Maybe if we got a petition circulated,there would be some action.What do you (neighbors in this area) think?

Hilda, I will sign that petition in a heartbeat ! I live at the end of Laforest near Lotus , I am happy to fight for something that you sometime feel you have no control over ! I tend to be verbal and have been known on occasion to speak my mind ! get that petition start on Laforest and you will find me and I will be more than happy to walk around and get signatures and even go to the court when the time comes if needed !!!!

I also contacted the road commission and was told there was no justifaction for more than the one stop sign. (No serious injurys or deaths!) I asked how Parveiw in waterfordhill got a three way stop (could it be because Oakland County Executive Brooks Patterson lives in that neighborhood?) They could not give me an answer.
