Thank you for bringing this to attention. While we love our neighborhood and its people the amount of trash continues to sadden me. As I walk downtown or around with my granddaughter is is difficult to miss is all. I have cleaned this area for over 20 years and nothing is going to change it until we change too.. As a business I would think that it would behove them to keep in front of their stores clean and attractive. Filling in of the wetland is illegal too but we turn a blind eye to it. Our DPW should not have to do this work yes public places but not neighborhoods it should be done by us all. I will organize a cleanup if anyone is interested and get bags but I can't do it alone anymore.

City needs to fine businesses that don’t clean up their property and although they didn’t create this mess, with every fine, monitoring the bad behaviour would be improved. I too clean my neighborhood and I agree it should start with education in our schools. Seems no one cares anymore.
