Description
Traffic leaving Washington circle onto south-bound 23rd St NW is inappropriately held by red arrow while pedestrian traffic is held to allow traffic to enter circle from north-bound 23rd. This results in cars running right red arrow to turn as it makes intuitive sense to do so with no pedestrian traffic across 23rd. See picture, also note illegal turn by gray SUV (very common).

DDOT has made triaffic signal improvements to the named location for vehicular and pedestrian improvements. We have not uncovered any hardware problems and the signal operation is working according to design. Thank you for your interest in traffic operations.
