Hello,
My tree needs to be removed. It is drying up and branches has been falling from it. I don't have the money to remove it as I am the only person working and I am leaving pay check to pay check. Does the city have resources in which this tree can be removed for free or very cheaply.
Thank you so much!

Hi, John!
Sorry about the delay on this response. Unfortunately, the Town of Gilbert doesn't have any programs or resources for helping remove this tree since it's on private property. However, we didn't want to leave you with nowhere to go so I spoke with our Community Resources team and they gave us the following info which may be helpful to you:
Gilbert does have a partnership with Habitat for Humanity that just started in July and Habitat DOES have funds to help out with home emergencies for Gilbert residents, and landscaping related issues IS one of them. Caveat for this program however is that the homeowner must be 65 years of age.
We also have a volunteer program where you can get help trimming the tree. Based on the images, it doesn't seem to be dead only in need of some maintenance and trimming.
If you'd like information on that volunteer program, feel free to respond. Otherwise, I've included a PDF with information on Habitat's program along with the application that you can submit directly to them, if you qualify.
Thanks for using Gilbert 311!
