that area is kinda borderline.....to the north and east of there it is somewhat better and just south and west of there it is much worse. you are iin the middle and close enough that gunfire will be evident but not every day of course. unfortunately, the last 10 years or more, crime and gunfire is more more prevalent than it was many years ago. it has spread and the scope has widened to include areas that never before experienced this type of crazy behaviour...

It is really difficult to tell what are gunshots and what are fireworks......Those with a keen ear can tell. I believe that 95% of the time it is fireworks. Although I had a friend who lives off of Perryville tell me her neighbors bragged about shooting off his gun for New Years Eve..right in front of his house. Happens every and all of the time, but DO NOT ACCEPT it. Call your alderman/woman and report the incident...always. Keep a look out for tthose who might be involved and document dates/times and descriptions.
