Our neighborhood is not built for this kind of traffic. It took me an extra 15 minutes just to get out onto Washtenaw from my home on Yost Blvd. (that is, 15 minutes for 0.5 miles) today.

could we have some barricades that say "No Thru traffic" ?

Now children are walking or biking home from school, and one area on Yost has no sidewalk. They are forced into the street. The traffic needs to be curtailed.. AND slowed down.

The traffic is shocking and is unlikely to end when the construction is finished. The drivers are not stopping for pedestrian Las, especially children and teens, and the use by heavy trucks as a shortcut—already a problem— has gotten significantly worse. More needs to be done to prompt these drivers to turn at Packard/Platt to get to Washtenaw. I have also noted the problem for the police as requested. What ever happened to this neighborhood being marked as a safe street for walking? Seems like another lifetime.
