Description

Chews Landing is a single lane road, but at the intersection with Sommerdale heading West it opens to 3 lanes, the right most lane is for right turn only, the middle lane is straight only and the left most lane is for left turns or straight through. The left most lane has to be changed to a LEFT TURN ONLY LANE. The west side of this intersection only has 2 lanes and since the road curves at this intersection the right lane aligns with right lane on the west side before it merges to a single lane after 30 feet. The center lane on the east side aligns with the left lane on the west side of the intersection, the left lane of Chews Landing on the east side does not continue onto Chews Landing on the west side of Sommerdale.
Responsible drivers stay in the center lane when driving straight into the left lane on the other side of the intersection because the right lane disappears in 30 feet. RECKLESS DRIVERS SPEED PAST THE LINE OF CARS IN THE CENTER LANE IN THE LEFT TURN LANE
AND RISK AN ACCIDENT BY FORCING THEMSELVES INTO THE LEFT LANE ON THE WEST SIDE BECAUSE THE LEFT LANE IS MARKED AS A LEFT TURN OR STRAIGHT AHEAD. I have almost been hit twice in the past month by jerks who race pass a dozen cars and force their way into the left lane of Chews Landing on the west side of 5he intersection. The left most lane on the east side of the intersection on Chews Landing has to be relabeled as a LEFT TURN ONLY LANE, if only I can win in court easily after I have been hit by a reckless driver. Whoever labeled these lanes probably owns an auto collision repair shop!
