There was an accident again today coming from Higley road on to Queen Creek. The reason for the accident is because traffic gets so far backed up as there's only one turn lane. This situation has been ongoing for over a month it is ridiculous that the City of Gilbert is taking this long to resolve the situation. What is being done to the correct this Why is it taking so long? and when can the residents of the City of Gilbert expect us to be resolved?

Our safety is at risk due to the inability of the City of Gilbert to properly plan this traffic situation!!!

If you read the other reports on this the town is blaming a private party for this. I don't understand how they have no resolution

Why is this issue so difficult ? If it was indeed a contractor incorrectly building the traffic area,; why is it not able to be demolished and rebuilt?

If it was your family endangered because of the traffic backup, how would you feel ?

Please see how far the traffic is backed up daily. People are not aware and I have been involved where I hear tires screw hing to a stop. I have witnessed accidents.

What is it going to take to get this issue resolved ? Someone to be seriously hurt or killed ?

This has been ongoing for over 2 months. What will this take to resolve. It my opinion this is completely irresponsible on the City of Gilbert engineers.

May I please receive a phone call from a traffic engineer as to the status. Not the generic "we are working as quickly as we can"

This is ridiculous. The town of Gilbert is taking no accountability and sending out generic response. We are working in it ... I call BS. It has been over 2 months. Someone is going to get seriously injured. The plan was approved but not executed properly.

Why could this not simply be torn apart and then re-built according to the plan submitted which was approved ?

I just received a phone call from Debbie and have been informed someone from traffic engineering will be contacting me.

Agree with all the posts. This should be embarrassing to the Town of Gilbert. I too am noticing the much more aggressive driving at the intersection which I use daily. The backup on Higley is dangerous because it comes right over the crest of the hill crossing the QC wash. Then the merge point EB on QC is creating many near accidents as well. What is the need for adding this obstruction turn lane? Why has it been over 2 months now and it is not corrected and finished. Come on Gilbert, use your budget surplus you always gloat about and finish it up with our infrastructure tax dollars.

I waited 15 minutes in line this morning. It's getting worse and now headed towards month 3. Has anyone heard anything?

All right, since I last spoke with someone it was 2 weeks that this issue was supposed to be getting resolved. There has been no progress. We are coming up on 3 months. This is unbelievably a huge disconnect to resolve this issue. I have seen a lot more post in regards to this concern Let's get this taken care of ...

Heard from the town this morning. After the developer and the contractor finished fighting about who was to blame for the colossal screw up, seems the final approvals were granted last week and we should hopefully see movement after the holiday this week. Sadly the current contracts don't provide much incentive to the developer to move with any haste, but the town hears us and will be working on stronger contracts for future.

All I want for Christmas is for this road to get repaired! Come on peeps what's going on was told it would start two weeks ago. We are entering our third month One quarter of a year. This is ridiculous.

Today I received an email that my issue has been open for 31 days. If it is still open to leave a comment ... So I'm leaving a comment but nobody writes back I wonder when this will be completed ? I wonder. Wonder. Wonder

Here it is, another full month after my first reply post, and not one thing has been done to address this road hazard. Not one person or one piece of equipment has been at the site.

We are now over 4 months waiting for this project to be completed to add (an un-needed) raised island left turn lane.

I can’t recall such huge delays like this in the past, especially on what I would consider a fairly minor project.

How can we escalate this further?
