This issue was recategorized from Traffic Engineering Requests (speed humps, residential traffic issues, traffic signal requests) to Capital Improvement Projects - Non Road (Trails, Wells, Public Facilities, Parks, etc.).
So what does this mean for the traffic safety of our community? The prior categorization seemed correct. Why the new one.
Borttomline, is it going to happen and when.
The increased traffic on Higley , both north and south bound make turning either direction very dangerous.
Would love to know an update on the traffic light. There was just a terrible accident here involving cyclists being hit by a vehicle. The road is 6 lanes of traffic, 7 if including the turn lane. It is incredibly hard to make a safe left turn from here.
Is it that hard for someone from the city to respond to this question? The city invests in a park and it’s impossible to get to safely. We’ve been hearing about this light forever…

Could someone at the city please answer the question, will the intersection of Higley and Bridges Blvd ever get a traffic light. Higley is a heavily traveled street and left turns are difficult and dangerous. Right turns can be the same be cause cars traveling north bound on Higley are often exceeding the speed limit of 45 mph.
What can residents do to encourage the light installation?
A response would be appreciated as I first asked this question about a year ago!
