Description

The road construction on Queen Creek close to the Higley intersection is taking FOREVER. In the last 2 months ZERO progress has been made. In the meantime, I frequently witness dangerous traffic situations created by these traffic restrictions made worse by impatient drivers. Does the town of Gilbert want to see a deadly accident on this interaction before it gets it act together?

Go check the other reports on the same thing. Its a "private project" that was started but isnt "in compliance with town code" so they are still negotiating a solution or some nonsense like that. Its so upsetting to see this kind of nonsense going on

The median that was constructed is 2’ too far south and will have to be removed and reconstructed in the correct place. The private developer is working with their engineer on a redesign .

So what's the timing on the fix? If it's as simple as reconstructing then why is it taking MONTHS? This should be a pretty simple fix. Also - who is paying for all of the barricades and what not? Is that coming out of town funds?

I hope the contractor is responsible for all expenses to make this right: redesign, tear down, rebuild + they have to pay penalties for every day the project is late. If a serious accident happens and the city is sued, does that liability transfer to the contractor?
