They cant because the south side sticks so far into the east bound lane that it renders the lane unusable. If you go look at all of the other posts weve been trying to get this resolved for well over a month. Its sad that this is what weve come to but i guess thats what you get dealing with government entities

Why is the median needed? There was a left turn lane into Lowe’s. Remove median and fill in and pave the street.

The town is requiring the median to prohibit people from turning left out of the brake place that is going in. It's a safety issue to prevent stupidity on a very busy street with impaired visibility because of the bridge.
