I answered this same issued a month or so ago. The railroad has finally, after months and months of pleading, agreed to allow the city to clean up this set of tracks. Also the two sets on Wilson Street, top row will be removed, as well as the signals. The lower set will be cleaned up as well. While at it, the same applies with the Parkway South railroad crossing. Signals to be removed also. The railroad has been all but impossible to deal with for quite some time. Hopefully, things will get done this fall, but our Public Works Department has been 'extremely' busy. So, perhaps it will be next spring. Cheer up, many feet of white stuff will be here soon.

I get the fact that everything can't be done all at once, but really, it needs to be patched up a bit before spring. My car is taking a beating crossing into Bangor everyday. Thank you for the updates, even though I would prefer a different answer! :)

Laurie, as you may know, the city did the crossing on Parkway South yesterday. Removed tracks, paved over the area, and removed those century old crossing signals. They will be doing an improvement on State Street also, although, I think the planning is for a major overhaul there will be in the spring. However, anything done there now will be a major improvement. Thanx again for getting back.
