  Thanks for taking the time to let the City know about this location. For clarification, will you please identify (per the provided map) whether your concern is with the red-circled corner of 33rd/45th intersection or the blue-circled one? I was trying to reconcile your statement relative to 33rd/BPBlvd intersection (as reasoning for the increased use of the 45th intersection) and the directions didn't seem to add up (for me at least).

  I corrected this in a conversation with someone. The problem is where BPB intersects with 33rd just west of the roundabout. I referenced 45th where it comes at the other side of Alderwood. People drive that to get to BPB then turn left onto BPB and proceed south to get to the dangerous intersection of BPB 33rd to take the extremely sharp right turn in order to avoid the bad intersection of BPB and 33rd when you come from the roundabout.

  The Transportation Division has performed some preliminary reviews and concept vetting for possible enhancements to this intersection to promote its best use based on the traffic movements being made. Per previous reviews of the intersection, sight distance between the westbound left-turn from Brown's Point Blvd and 33rd Ave NE and southbound Brown's Point Blvd is adequate presuming drivers are performing the left-turn movement from the appropriate position to allow for the available visibility. The low-cost configuration concepts being discussed, but not implementable until weather and roadway conditions dry out (likely in spring/early summer), would be intended to help encourage left-turn movements along the proper path and beginning from the intended position on Brown's Point Blvd. The latest comment about also needing to address southbound-to-westbound right turns through added paving is also being considered, but also subject to weather/paving conditions.
