Description
Now that wrong-way driving is back, can the city please place a sign letting pedestrians know that vehicles can drive into oncoming traffic lanes? A lot of pedestrians assume that vehicles will only travel in their designated lanes and are not aware that vehicles in both directions can use the whole road. Thank you.

Anonymous poster - this is how St. Paul's has always been. People were driving in the wrong lane or going down Liberty Ave, which is a one way, when the pilot was happening. Let me know if you want to see video proof. Stop trying to push an agenda that a road that is wide enough to be FOUR lanes should be a one way - I am so confused by people who believe the pilot was better for the neighborhood. You must be privileged enough to have a driveway and only be concerned about yourself or don't have any car to worry about.
Jean W - the poster is just trolling; the only thing that needs to be addressed is the bags covering the traffic lights on Tonnelle Ave need to be taken off. Thanks!

LlamaLlama - Newark Avenue has businesses and restaurants; St. Paul's has ONE local coffee shop (or used to have one local coffee shop), which currently has some construction going on for the past months.
I don't see anyone reporting the non-stop construction going on inside that behind closed doors with windows and the doors all covered up. Anyone know what is going on inside? What they're doing in there? It is under a residential apartment building after all. Or because you don't live in that building, it isn't a concern to you?

I live in the local area. It is unrecognizable but do you realize how traffic works? I’m confused? Do you realize how many people live in Brunswick Towers or Canco Lofts or the new buildings on Skillman Ave? No - higher values are great; taxes aren’t. I am perfectly fine and have adapted to living in the city and honestly sounds like you aren’t the one who’s used to city life since you’re complaining about traffic and noise. Maybe take your own advice and move into the suburbs? I’m sure you can get a high value for your place since you just pointed it out.
Regarding infrastructure, pipes and roads were done maybe 3 years ago when the road was a two way. If they want to improve it and remove the copper pipes underneath, please proceed. Get your facts straight before you come at me as I’m extremely familiar with the area and the needs since I actually do my research and am in communication with those I need to be.
Instead of arguing about a two way street, why don’t you look into illegal construction happening at the corner of Liberty Ave and St. Paul’s for months or why a property in Beacon that’s for sale at $2.5M needs a 40 year tax abatement. None of that concerns you because noise bothers you so you’re still running with that. Or you can’t back a car out of a driveway or a car makes a left turn at the red light. All of that sounds like someone who should be in the suburbs not the city.
I am not against pedestrian safety but logic and common sense should be used. Do you even know where the Brunswick Towers parking garage is? You know families there have kids and have to get to work, right? You know people live in Van Winkle Ave, right? So for the convenience of those living on St. Paul’s Ave and since they don’t like noise, the noise should be directed to everyone on Van Winkle Ave. For what? Why should folks on St. Paul’s have a good nights sleep and not have to hear beeping at 6:30 am but Van Winkle should bear it all?
You sound like the definition of entitlement, selfish and privileged only concerned about yourself and not your neighbors.
