I spoke to a Juliana who is the McKinley project Mgr. I let her know about Griffin being used as a detour because of the const on McKinley and supposedly Griffin is not on their list of detours. I said maybe not but they are using it and it gets more dangerous every day for those of us that live on or around Griffin. I ask for an update next week after she talks to the superiors. I've also sent an email to one of our council members and she has responded to give me a call tomorrow.

Thank you Vanden. Im closer to promenade area. But I walk that area with my dog. This drivers act like we should give them the right away. Drivers have no patience. It's awful. It's very dangerous. I often give them the right away. Because I do not trust the drivers.

Thank you Vanden Akker's. I hope you get somewhere with doing something about Griffin Way. I have been complaining for Y E A R ' S and it has only gotten worse. And now with the McKinley Street Grade Separation Project traffic is even heavier. I just don't understand why the city hasn't done anything besides narrowing the lanes with paint to calm the traffic along Griffin Way.
Griffin Way has become a major artery and has become VERY DANGEROUS. We NEED lighted stop signs and traffic signals to slow and put space between traffic.
I saw that one of our neighbor's cars parked along Griffin Way has been hit AGAIN! That neighbor and the neighbor next door has had their cars hit so many times.
Sometimes I think about calling the news to do a story on Griffin Way, Brittany, and Promenade.

Corona Police Department assigned this issue to City of Corona

I left a VM with one of the counsel members last Friday. I did not hear back so I sent her an email this past Friday. I am waiting a response from her. She is usually very good in getting back to me.

We definitely need more then the 3 stop signs on Griffin Way that driver's ignore.
Thursday morning 9/21/23 approximately 05:15 there was a close call. A dark SUV blasting down Griffin Way towards McKinley didn't stop or even slow at the intersection of Bristol just as another vehicle was at the intersection coming off Bristol. I just crossed the street and was right on the corner. I closed my eyes and turned away thinking there was going to be impact. Luckily there wasn't. The SUV, unfazed just continued speeding away.
I love when I see the motor here writing driver's up. I always thank him and tell him how much we appreciate him being here.
