David can you clarify your concern. I'm assuming you mean Alexander Street and Mercer Street, but not sure what pedestrian signal you are referring to. Also can you provide details as to why you feel it is dangerous or why you think its crazy?

mercer st gets overloaded with cars turning left onto alexander. This creates a backup on alexander st. I am referring to the pedestrian signal 1/4 of mile at the seminary. Its the only chance for a turn because its holds traffic back some. If you look on google maps now alexander st is backed up as far as the Dickerson st. its not safe for pedestrians crossing alexander rd either
