Last week, there was a Stop Sign installed into our yard at the SW Corner of 31st & Georgian Court in Lincoln, NE.
Please, we would like you to reconsider the necessity of this stop sign.
This is not a through street. This is not a four way stop. In our opinion, & after consulting with industry experts, we believe this stop sign is not needed.
We also understand the ongoing project to replace the existing black pole street signs w/ the break away signs. Currently, we have street signs for 31 & Georgian CT attached to a light pole on our intersection. I don’t believe you will be removing the light pole, so there is no need to install an additional street sign for 31 & Georgian.
Our yard is also the central headquarters for our neighborhood children to play games, sports, etc. This new stop sign / pole is a hazard for potential injuries, as it’s right in harms way.
In review, we would appreciate the consideration to remove this stop sign, & reallocate it somewhere else in our city. Thank you!
