My grandmother lives close to there and a few months ago, my mother went to walk her dog and I believe it was a pitbull who ran out of a neighboring yard and started mauling the one she was walking. As they attempted to get it off, it bit into the jugular and was gushing blood everywhere. The dog needed immediate surgery and ended up dying recently from apparently natural causes, but no doubt all that trauma accelerated the decline of its health. The attacker has been put to sleep but be careful, sometimes barking is the least of your worries.
