Description

The lousy owners of these new houses have ruin the sidewalks and have refuse to fixed it. Its hazardous especially since I walked up and down the sidewalk daily to go to family dollar. the code inspectors need to come out and fine them because it’s ridiculous. I’m too old to jumped over the big gap they have left behind.

A. The sidewalk has been destroyed and not repaired

Q. Which side of the road is it on, approx. ft & direction from address/intersection.
A. In front of the new built houses. Second house from the corner of 19th and Buchanan ST.

I apologize for the delayed response. A inspector will visit the location to figure out the issue at hand. The areas that are a problem will be identified, we will try to make contact while on site, and we will send a letter to the property owner about the issues. Within that letter there is information about a 50/50 Cost share Sidewalk Program that the City of Topeka has. I will need to move the ticket time out 2 weeks to allow time for the letter to be delivered and a response from the property owner.

I will have to check and see if contact was made with our department. If not another site visit will happen and we will send another letter, after 3 letters we can then send them to Code Enforcement. Extending the ticket time out.
