Description
Back in Feb of 2020 city crews knocked this decorative pillar out of plumb while they were clearing brush out of the stair easement. The city then removed it and said it would be repaired/replaced in the future. To date nothing has been done to replace it. It was located on the stairs that run from Alvarado to Easton. It was a part of a matched pair on either side of the entrance to the stairway. My understanding of the origins of this pillar date back to the early days of Burlingame and have historical significance. What is the status of the repair/replacement?
