Description
This has always been an issue for the last few years, but for the last say month or two we've had a drastic increase in people doing donuts in that cross-section then speeding up 15th, as well as street racing. Just tonight at 9pm, someone did donuts while racing someone. They fishtailed and almost lost control of the car going up the hill while driving in the middle of the road, almost hitting a neighbor's car that happened to be parked safely and legally on the side of the road. After this person sped off, the neighbor across the street from me tried to pull right as car decided to do a donut before whipping down 15th, almost hitting my neighbor (who luckily knows to look multiple times before pulling out because of how common this is now). There's also a dark colored truck who takes people on this street to race them at 11pm; I've seen them 3 separate occasions, one time racing 3 people in a row, which means these instances are not just one-time things. They've also caused damage to others' property in the past, as per the first public complaint. When will this get fixed? This problem first got reported 11/1/22 and it's gotten significantly worse; we can't call the police, so who are we to call? There are kids who live on this road - what if someone decides it's a good time to speed off, loses control like I almost saw someone do tonight, and hits a kid? It's just so dangerous; I'm afraid someone's going to run into my parked cars, regardless of being in the driveway or on the street, or worse - run in to me or my house. This isn't just about property damage anymore. It's also about people's homes, and people not feeling safe in the houses they work really hard to pay for. PLEASE COME DO THE SPEED STUDY AT NIGHT. They always start up at sunset; if you just hide somewhere between 9pm and 11pm for just a week you WILL tag someone, if not multiple people.

- The street is on the intersection of 15th and Cedar; 3021 S 15th Tacoma, WA, 98405 is the closest address. There is a school across the street, so kids are all over the side roads (Franklin Elementary School is right across from that intersection)
- A detailed description of the concern: speeding, donuts, and racing other cars, not abiding by speed limits
