The City has been working to fill the position that manages Neighborhood Programs, which includes working with community members like you on neighborhood traffic calming concerns. Due to this staff vacancy, there may be a delay in our ability to analyze and respond to your request thoroughly. To expedite our review, please ensure that your submission includes the following:
- Details of the location that are relevant to the concern, including the specific street block (ex., on Street 1 between Street 2 and 3), intersection, nearest address, or neighborhood characteristics that influence driving behaviors (ex., school, shopping center, cars parked on planting strip, etc.), and,
- A detailed description of the concern (speeding, fail-to-yield intersection crashes, sideswipes of parked cars, avoiding signals, etc.).
The City uses specific data (traffic volumes, documented speeds, and crashes) to determine the appropriate tool and prioritize funding. Once we can gather and analyze the appropriate data, we will be in touch. We look forward to working with you and appreciate your attention and patience.
