Noise and vibrations are coming from the neighboring Newly Weds Foods factory, generally from 6.30am to 10.40pm Mon-Fri, and some weekends and nights. I invite the Watertown Health Department to come to my place to better understand what my family is experiencing.

Thank you for creating the new request. We have scheduled a meeting with Newly Weds Factory on Tuesday, May 30th. At that time, we will tour the factory and walk around the neighborhood that you and your family live in. We are hoping we will find the cause of the excessive noise/ vibrations you are hearing. I have emailed you dates we are available to come into your home as well.

The Public Health Director, Larry Ramdin and I, visited Newly Weds Foods Inc. Where, we had a discussion about neighborhood concerns and daily operations. We walked through the inside of the factory and exterior property of the factory.
Based on the sequence of your concerns/complaints, the Newly Weds plant manager and maintenance team have begun working on the simpler changes, as well as placing orders for various larger scale sound reduction equipment. The work directed to reducing sound in your neighborhood is expected to happen within the next few weeks.
We are working with Newly Weds to reduce the noise as much as possible for the neighborhoods benefit.

"We finished up our projects to reduce sound levels at the rear of our facility. In addition to equipment changes (vibrator removal) inside the facility that were completed several weeks ago, we have finished the install of a new sound barrier fence as well as modification to the exhaust from the dust collector system. I have included pictures below.

"our new fence is up like you saw and it has been reinforced with sound panels.
Since noise complaints continue and we are somewhat confused where is coming from, we will be placing a new fence with sound panels in the silo side where we have dust collection system.
I have instructed for maintenance employees to make this a priority and work on it over the weekend. Fence materials are being purchase in local establishments at this moment.
If you can give us more details about noise type and hours its present.

"Over the weekend, more and new fencing was added, this is besides sound panels that we have been adding lately.
Also, new exterior sound panels will be ordered and we are planning to place these on new fencing.".
