Your approach is all wrong: your complaint is just that and that is why noone is responding. Present a professional suggestion and approach, rather than this. This is not a complaint site: it is a site for reporting fixable issues that fall into correct codes of the city. Your issue is not a public fixing, but a political issue.

Feel free to contact your local political figure (city councilman, Mayor, all neighbors on the blocks you mentioned, etc.) to address your concerns and suggestions about neighborhood improvements. Get a petition going: that is how the other blocks acomplished their request for improvements.

Present your improvment ideas to the correct Hammond employess to get any leadway.

Street Department 1 assigned this issue to Engineering Department

There was a study done in that area that showed the amount of traffic cutting through the area that do not live there. A project was done to help elevate the situation. Currently there are no plans to continue this further north but we are taking notes of anyone about this situation.
