Delivery trucks, parking on bike trail at The Avenue. This is a common occurrence in downtown, at least where I use the trail. It's bad enough when cars cut you off turning from 1st Ave S to streets. Police ever enforce any laws regarding cyclists' rights?

This response concerns SeeClickFix report of improper parking in front of 330 1st Avenue South. The complaint was forwarded to the SPPD Special Operations Division and routed to the Downtown Deployment Team (DDT) for a response.
Sergeant Michael Bush was able to examine the photograph provided and identified the owner of the truck. A phone call was subsequently made to the owner, who apologized for the manner in which the truck was parked and made assurances that it would not occur again.
In the future, please call the Police Department non-emergency number at (727) 893-7780 when you witness the activity occurring. You can choose to remain anonymous when making this call.
