Please indicate what year this is in the plan for the capital budgets. I understand it may be a few - but I would like an estimate.

Every year requests for capital improvements are submitted and evaluated for funding. We never know which requests will be funded according to the funds available.

What are the criteria for the funding requests?

I contacted the engineering office as instructed. I discussed the budgets and priorities. I an told that 36th street with Sewers is on the radar for 2018. I am going to leave the issue open in the event the plan is changed. When the construction stars I will close the issue.

After the mass rains we have had - I am even more excited to have sewers on the street...the flooding on the corner only gets worse...

this issue is still a problem and has only been made larger with the recent rains. No one is able to use the side walk as the water settles here like a pond.

The issue remains a problem. I have provided factual information to the city regarding this corner and the soil erosion it is causing in addition to the roads to degrade tremendously.

As school starts up it highlights the corner flooding issue as the school buses avoid dropping anyone of on that corner due to the well known water issues.

City is in the initial steps of a design for a capital improvement project for 36th Street from Frazer to Market that will address the drainage

If anyone on the street wants to work with the project manager as a stakeholder in this project - please let Cyndi Hofacer know and we can all work together.

The water runs even days after a rain. The lightest of rains floods the corner and erods the soil. The drive ways and sidewalks have all sunken over the years.

Looking forward to next summer road construction int he neighborhood! certain it will drive us crazy but we will all love the results!

Hello - the water run off with the freeze has created the massive pot holes that come every year.....

road continues to erode - sidewalks are sinking -

No word on the streets. Pot holes have been filled with not the greatest accuracy - still a mess....

No action to correct this problem. The only benefit I see is people now have to drive incredibly slow as to not shake rattle and roll themselves out of their cars....

Until we see concrete plans with dates I believe this should remain open. The purpose of this site is to notify the city so the issue can be resolved... not just reviewed. Thank you.

The water has caused the sidewalks and driveways to sink - resulting in often passable areas on the sidewalks and the streets. this past weekend there was a family with a wheel chair trying to go for a walk and is was sad that they had so much difficulty to get around.

We kept being told that Harvard and Logan flooded in rains because it was a 100 year rain and the sewers were not built to handle that capacity. We have not had several "100 year rains" and I feel that it is more the fact that we do not have enough culverts to capture the water in various places.

Hoping the Pot Hole Repair teams shows up soon as the water run off have washed away all the work they did last time there were out....

The recent water break on Harvard highlighted the issue of no culverts. All this water then turned immediately to ice that evening with the freezing temperatures. No possible way to keep the sidewalk clear - such a hazard to those walking.

This issue has now compounded over the winter. The Snow plowing has removed large sections of blacktop in which the water not pools. The sidewalk is impassable - it is a black eye to the neighborhood and the city of Canton.

There have now been 5 water main breaks within 1.5 blocks of this corner - and one of them happened twice.

I am happy to hear the city is looking at the repairs needed. Will still be a while but at least we are on the radar!
