Why do so called emergency vehicles get a pass on the idle issue? These Vans often, if not always are diesel, and idle no matter the temperature outside. In years past, Diesel vehicles would idle for fear that they would not (re)start in the cold and would be unavailable for emergencies. This is No longer the case, and these vehicles (like all others) should help our Air Quality by turning off when not in use. This particular idle event was mid-afternoon Friday Feb 3rd, 2012
