Crossing and walking along 56th street are dangerous in this location. It is difficult to crest the hill alongside the road just north of 9th ave S because there are no sidewalks and landscaping on both sides makes it difficult to stay out of the road. Crossing the road is dangerous due to the blind spot caused by the hill and traffic moving quickly off Crestwood Blvd and out of the shopping center. The safest way to cross is to move between the peak of the hill and Crestwood Blvd, but this is complicated by the lack of sidewalks and traffic coming out of the shopping center. Both the ability for pedestrians to cross and use 56th street through Crestwood is needed.
