Description
The second south block of Saturn Dr. Is in great need of repair. Heavy rainfall = street flooding. The elevation of the street is lower than the storm drains. Also the pot holes are real bad. The city will patch them and it does nothing. Street needs completely removed, stone base replaced with a well graded compacted aggregate. Followed by asphalt base ODOT 302, or 301. The intermittent coarse should be an ODOT 448-2, and the top surface lift should be an ODOT 448-1 asphalt mix. Both the second and top course should be tested for density of at least 93% of the max specific gravity of the asphalt mix. The classic..spaying an asphalt tar with very little binding ability then placing #8 crushed limestone on top does not work. The city has done this three times in the past 20 years. The aggregate stays in place about a month.
