A burning authorization has been issued to RMR by the Fire Chief to conduct Air Curtain Incinerator (ACI) burning at 2104 Airport Way. The ACI location has been measured to ensure the location is in excess of the minimum distances from residences and businesses at 100m as well as 500m from schools, hospitals, and care facilities to meet the requirements of the Provincial Open Burning Smoke Control Regulation (OBSCR). RMR was required to investigate and exhaust all other methods of land clearing debris before the Fire Chief issued this burning authorization. As observed by the Fire Chief at approx. 3:45pm on November 20th, the ACI was operating within limits of the regulations as required by the OBSCR.
