These responses must be some kind of a joke. The City does nothing while this man runs an illegal business endangering out entire community!!

He was blocking the street with two cars one going in the wrong direction on the road. I was trying to pull out of my driveway tonight, had to wait a while for him as He finished his conversation then went to the end and did a uturn. Then proceeded to double park going the wrong direction on the road. There is a big white truck with out of state expired plates also parked every night on our street I think is from there also. It has a loud motor early in the morning. I have almost been hit by people backing out of his place from the rental cars while trying to turn onto 188th. I hope something is done soon.

Dear neighbor, I'm so sorry you are also a victim of this mess but the City of Seatac is now to blame. They refuse to take action. I will be coming around with more information and a petition to try to force the City to take action. I am prepared to bring a lawsuit against the city. Someone is going to get injured and the city will be to blame. It's just gotten ridiculous. I've followed him down to 32nd Ave South where he has a whole string of cars staged. I've twice recorded him getting into additional vehicles down there along the fence next to the apartments on the west side of 32nd. Hang in there! We will take action as a group.

This is so frustrating. City Council members should be called about this. They are our advocates with city hall.

Yes, Julia, it's very distressing. Tonight I wrote an email to the City Manager and copied every Council member. I wrote to Peter Kwon almost two months ago, with no response. I am very disappointed in our city government. One of our other neighbors tried to have a conversation with Code Enforcement and was insulted with name calling. We are at our wit's end.

What Code Compliance Department? I don't believe SeaTac has one. This is unconscionable. This morning he again had 15 cars parked all over the front yard, with one out onto the street again. I plan to hold your Code Compliance "non-worker" personally liable.

Have you considered going to a city council meeting and publically asking the council to address this? Maybe stand at the podium and read aloud for the record all the effort you've made. I would like to go with you, if you decide to.
I'm surprised that Peter Kwan didn't respond! He's usually very responsive. This is maddening for the neighborhood.

Julia, yes, I had actually planned to go to the meeting this past Tuesday but came down with a bad cold. I didn't want to make others sick, so stayed home. However, I did write an email to the city manager and copies every city council member on it. I think it's going to yield some results as I've gotten response. Peter responded to it and told me he found my previous email in his "spam" folder. I do understand such things happen, so I don't think he was being non-responsive. I finally got a response from the city manager late this afternoon. He is looking into what has / has not been done and promised to get back to me. He and several other councilmembers drove by the location this morning and could see it was completely unacceptable. He had 15 cars parked on the front lawn. He also had one in the street again. Coming home tonight, I also noticed he had moved a large pickup truck from his front yard to the intersection where 33rd curves around to 34th. Again, it was halfway on the road, had expired out-of-state tags, and represents a danger to other drivers. If there is no action taken, I will definitely be at the next Council meeting along with other neighbors. I would love to have your assistance. Thank you for taking an interest. As you know, it's a real eyesore for the Angle Lake north community plus represents healthy and safety risks. I am equally concerned about his illegal discharge of water and automotive cleaning products. Numerous violations exist for that behavior, also. My husband is an engineer who has been in charge of overseeing wastewater disposition in aerospace and was Chairman of the Citizen's Wastewater Advisory board, so he is very well-versed in the requirements. The bottom line is that he is operating an illegal business in a residential zone. The SeaTac code is pretty clear on what is and is not permissible.

My hat is off to you for your persistence. I believe the city will do the right thing now. Unfortunately, I did write a short email to Peter Kwan asking him to take the issue under his wing, prior to reading this. I have confidence in him and believe him when he says the email was sent to spam.
I'll write back to him now and let him know that the City (elevated to the City Manager) is finally responding.
