Description

There is a squatter encampment surrounding this house at 1717 5th Street SE, Canton, Ohio 44707. There are multiple squatters living on the property surrounding this house.
There are tarps set up in the back yard along with garbage and debris all over the yard where at least one squatter is living. There is a foul odor coming from this property.
The front porch is covered with hanging blinds where at least one more squatter is living. I pay rent and city taxes and should not have to have squatters in my back yard trashing and destroying this property and trespassing onto my property.
One of the squatters approached me, trespassing onto my property, and told me to turn of my headlights of my vehicle because they were shining towards their tarps and tents where they are illegally living. I told her she was trespassing on private property and she refused to leave for about 10 minutes.This squatter issue has been going on for several years now, yet the city has continued to allow this to keep being a squatter location. I am very frustrated that seemingly nothing is being done about this issue. Can someone please contact me and let me know if anyone is looking into this and what the plan is to remove these squatters from this property which is right behind my house?
