I agree. Rt 18 is a very busy freeway and it needs lots of work. Budgets are supposed to have money for road repairs, especially busy ones, but who knows what happens to that money.
I think the roads are deplorable in NJ. I am born and raised here, and I can honestly say that it is shameful that the state is in such disrepair whether it is from lack of grass cutting along highways, dead deer left to rot alongside roadways, we are really becoming an eyesore state with our roads. What I don't understand is how tourism isn't valued enough to repair the roads to enable vacationeers to travel safely to the shore. Rt 18 was repaired off the exit for Pt. Pleasant to the Collingswood Area. I guess no repairs to roads is good for mechanics and auto sales, but nothingelse. We are looking like a tobacco road state where property values have dropped severely.Home ownership is not what it is cracked up to be if you are sitting with no services. In addition, people still have jobs in the county and state, what are they doing if not this? And candidates seek political office only to gain power and control to sit back and watch it all without changing anything
