Cars not stopping at stop sign. I walk around this block daily and I always come across drivers who blow by this stop sign. Last night, I was walking with my kids and a driver almost ran us over. This wasn't the first time but this was the worst of my bad experience here. I wasn't able to get the plate of the car. Please do something more about this intersection to force drivers to stop at the sign. Maybe a bigger sign/brighter paint/ speed bump.

Just to make sure I am understanding this correctly, there is already a stop sign and you want to do more to get drivers who blow through the sign on purpose (not on purpose?), but have made a request for a stop sign?
It may have been a mistake that you requested a stop sign or you may be asking for an additional or all way stop sign. What you wrote was clear, I just want to clarify this request: "What pedestrian and traffic safety elements would you like the city to consider? 4. Traffic: Stop Sign Request ( For requests to conduct a traffic study to determine if a stop sign is warranted at an intersection.)"

I will also ask the RRC to send this to the Police Division since they are the only ones that can enforce the laws.
The other requests, additional signage, speed humps, curb bump outs, more traffic calming is now on our list.

I wish! Those cameras, for the fewer short months we had them, really calmed traffic. Unfortunately, they are illegal in New Jersey. Yes, the revenue was good, but the traffic calming was incredible.
We have a lot of other options though and we will be able to evaluate every option.
I have the intersection for Manila and Pavonia down also, so if not a stop sign, then other traffic calming possibilities.

With close proximity to the Holland Tunnel, the drivers are aggressive and ignore these stop signs.
The speed humps do help, especially around Erie Street, between 8th and 9th avenue.
