Description
Drivers on this stretch of Red Rd. are not observing the school speed limit. With the narrow road and cars lining up to turn onto 45th St. for the school, the school crossing on Red is becoming very dangerous. Please call the School Police 305-238-5906 and request enforcement. Some enforcement of the crosswalk right-of-way might be needed as well (see picture). Parked across the crosswalk, Black Acura SUV FL# Q88 5GK, didn't get the red-light runner's plate...yes that walk sign was indicating "safe" to walk :(

still working on this - the area is unincorporated county on the school (West) side and Coral Gables on the East - I've actually had a Coral Gables motor officer tell me that they only enforce on the northbound lane of Red Rd... Red Rd. is a state highway, and I have seen FHP enforcing on Red at other spots, but not this section. County police come enforce the fire lane parking across the street from the school on Fairchild Blvd. I've approached these officers about traffic on Red Rd. and heard promises, but I've never once seen a speed-trap / enforcement set up in this Red Rd. school zone.
called the MDPD school crossing guard office - 305-471-1716 or 1714 but they only deal with existing guards - told me to work w/ the principal of the school. (Which I have)
