Description
Water is overflowing the road and washing out my yard.
Earlier this year I posted this same problem but Monte Sano park personnel temporarily took care of the problem. I said to them, and they agreed, the drain side of the road needs to be dragged out to prevent sediment from backing up through the drain pipe under the street. This is the third time this problem has happened in the past 12 months.
Thank you

Please do not cancel this work order...
Please be notified that Monte Sano park maintenance temporarily fixed the problem again. They also partially dredged out some of the sediment from the downstream side. If the city will finish dredging another 20 feet then the water exiting the pipe will be unimpeded and this problem will not reoccur for many, many years.
Thank you.

Drain pipe under the road, just past the Monte Sano State Park entrance sign; but before the gate.
Here we are on the eve of heavy rain and the drain pipe under the road next to my house is still clogged.
It’s been 6 months since is first posted this problem; and over one month since I re-posted.
When it overflows the road it comes right through my yard.
Every time it overflows someone comes out and clears it just enough to drain the new lake, but not enough to truly fix the problem. They say they can’t dredge it when it’s so wet. Well, we’ve had months of dry days and still it isn’t done.

You guys did a great job on the drainage ditch; however, the source of the soil erosion that fills and buries this drain pipe has not been addressed. On either side of the street, coming from the park entrance, water is eroding the berm and carrying sediment with it. The gentleman who spoke with me said something about putting gravel down to mitigate the problem. No gravel.
Personally, I am content with the work you have done. Just letting you know.
Thank you very much
