There is a major pothole on the side of the road on Howard Road right by the old firetower. It has caused cars to become disabled on a daily basis and is getting worse.
Yesterday at 5:30pm, my son hit this pot hole and literally broke part of his tire rim and popped 2 brand new tires (both on the passenger side). He was the second person yesterday to do this, as reported by the neighbor who lives right by the pothole, and at least the 6th in 2 weeks.
This is an extremely dangerous pothole that is likened to a small sink hole. It is right where the road narrows just past Seven Oaks Swim Club, making it unavoidable if there is oncoming traffic - you either need to swerve out into the other lane to avoid the pothole, or if there is oncoming traffic and you can't stop in time you are going to hit this pothole and pop your tire.
We are looking at up to a $1000 damage for 2 rims and 2 tires and a front end alignment.
This should not go past noon today without being addressed.
This isn't just an inconvient bnit of missing asphalt it is a definite safety hazard. In addition to the reported damage to multiple vechiles its just a matter of time before somebody goes out of control from the damage and injuries result. It needs to be repaired- immediately
I believe this pot hole could use another layer of asphalt. Because it is located on the side of the road, the initial fix is now depressed and a new indentation is growing. Thank you.
Additionally, while the crew is there there is a low spot(not a pothole but a sunken bucket sized dip in the left hand turn lane onto Howard if you are on creedmore coming north from the mall. The dip in the street is about 20-30 feet before you get to the white "stop here line". It would be great if they could fix this. It also will cause you to receive a "good shakin"
