This area receives a lot of trash dumps, I believe, because there are NO SIGNS to direct traffic from Taylor Street to the Fort Totten Transfer Station. Vehicles coming to the Transfer Station get lost on the Puerto Rico Ave side and instead of being on the Brookland Ave/John McCormack Rd side of the tracks. Given that Puerto Rico Ave is often deserted of individuals walking, I guess folks take the risk of not getting caught and dump their trash on the sides of Puerto Rico Ave.
