Arrived on site observed the water flowing just above the water meters. Inspected all the water meters and found no sign of leaking. Conducted A chlorine test, test came back negative for chlorine, results indicate that this is groundwater and align with past results from this issue. This location is near an open water course and may be the result of saturated soil from the water course.

I am another neighbor impacted by the ticket discussed here and wanted to follow up on the findings from today. Could you please provide more details on why the volume of the stream is unrelated to the weather e.g. it has been dry for a few days now? As things started seemingly after the heavy work that happened atop the 40th stairs i.e. 200ft above the 'leak point', could you please assert there is no correlation? Finally, assuming the tests from today are not a false negative, shouldn't further investigations be performed to ensure the water sipping through is not a sign of more damage to come up to sink hole levels issues?

So, when I was on site, I tested the chlorine three times and got three negative results the city has also been out and done leak detection in this area for that information you can see service request 10284 and SPU was notified because they also have a water main in the area so they can do leak detection on their water main. Please call SPU for further information on their water main.

Hello, I just received a call from Mike from SPU who came by earlier this morning to assess. He shared he believe there is a leak between the main and meter, most west/further up the hill based on his sound test and checking the meter was not moving. He shared he contacted Kyle with this information for further action. Looking forward to hearing about the next steps.

We will send the water team out to proceed with leak detection.

Hi, I'm trying to add a couple of photos...the first one is from when i reached out in September and was told it was an underground spring..the second (if i can get it uploaded) is what it looks like now. Not sure how long it's looked like this because it has looked like this since it has been dry - it sounds like SPU has confirmed there is a leak. What are next steps?

Adding to Stefan's request to reopen; the water is still flowing down our street...the only reason it has decreased is because of the leak that was found up above and because both SPU and MI reduced the amount of water flowing thru the pipes. This needs to stay open until the issue has been fixed.

The water team repaired a pinhole leak in the service line attached to meter 25. On Friday the 19th, they used a repair band and took about 7 hours to complete the repair.

3935 96th Ave SE The stream from my water meter is getting triple bigger since Water meter cover was replaced by city today! It has been regarded as natural water by city for years. Please check asap since it looks like pipe leaking from somewhere nearby.
