I notice this too. Does the apartment complex not offer enough parking in their garage? What’s the deal with them parking outside?

My husband and I drove by there yesterday and I said I was going to submit a ticket. It’s ridiculous!

How many years does it take for the city of Houston to respond to issues such as these?

The road is crumbling because of the cars parked there so it’s getting even narrower. According to COH ordinance, it’s too narrow for any street parking but unless there are signs AND enforcement, no one knows.

City needs to be aware that they need to send someone out to inspect evenings and weekends when it’s completely impassable. If they only look midday, people and their cars are at work. Alternatively, we all have photos of this mess.

An investigation was conducted for no parking signs on the south side of 324 W 26th St. No contact information was provided for this request, During the investigation it wasn't observed vehi less obstructing traffic flow. W 27th St is narrow 24ft near Rutland St but at the intersection with Ashland St street is 34ft with plenty usable shoulder. Effective width for W 26th St is 27ft. As per City of Houston Ordinance states. If the street has two-way traffic operations and the Effective width of the street is equal to or greater than 26ft, both sides of the street should be unrestricted for parking at all times. No safety or mobility issues were observed while investigation was conducted. Due to the observations no further action.

Don’t only look at it during the day on weekdays! This is lazy and obviously not representative of much of the week. Look at the photos! This block is 100% lined with vehicles bumper to bumper on nights and weekends. Since non-work hours are the majority of time and the city only inspects things during the minority work hours when the problem is not significant, this is just an incredibly useless and unhelpful inspection. Please explain how to get someone out to inspect at the time the problem exists.
