As of yesterday, 4/7/24, there now seems to be also a separate utility line problem in this same approximate location: A fallen tree has forced electrical power lines to the ground level at the north side of the D&R Canal. I've notified PSE&G.

5/3 A clarification: The problem I initially noticed (2 failing utility poles on either side of the D&R canal and alongside the Dinky track) remains unchanged as far as I can tell.

The second concern that I added to this was that a tree had fallen on what appeared to me to be electrical power lines to the north of the D&R canal, also alongside the Dinky track. The second concern appears to have been addressed.

5/11 Thanks for the follow-up and messages. I want to say, about the 2 separate concerns that #1: failing utility poles on both sides of the D&R canal involves a utility line which (my hunch) is not PSE&G as 2 closely (within a couple of inches) adjacent lines are visible, an upper, support(?) cable which is small in diameter, and a lower, thicker, utility cable (maybe cable TV, phone, internet?). At least that's what I make of it. So if this is right, PSE&G may not be able to help. Concern #2, and again my hunch, involved a power line north of the D&R which had been forced to the ground by a fallen tree. I believe PSE&G did take care of this problem recently and removed the line.

PSE&G has been contacted and they have completed their work. NJ Transit has inspected the area and remediation is being planned.
